About Marty Neltner
Marty E. Neltner is a long-time medical billing and coding consultant who has worked in the industry for more than 35 years.
He founded Neltner Billing and Consulting and was President for 28 years. The company was a full-service medical management firm located in Independence, Kentucky. Under Marty’s leadership, it provided management support and physician billing services to more than 1000 practices across the U.S., representing more than 350 physicians.
Marty is an avid healthcare blogger and has written numerous white papers, articles and abstracts appearing in peer review publications. He has conducted seminars across the country on topics such as coding, documentation, reimbursement, practice management and options for negotiating contractual arrangements. He is also a strong advocate for physicians and patients and plans/participates in grassroots activities on local and national levels, meeting often with members of the AMA, Congress, Senate and other government representatives.

Prior to starting Neltner Billing and Consulting, Marty worked as a Manager of Patient Accounts at a large Kentucky hospital and was also a Practice Administrator for an oncology group in Kentucky.
